JEWETT METAL BUILDINGS & STEEL ERECTORS COMPLETES PROJECTS

Jewett Metal Buildings & Steel Erectors, a division of Jewett Construction Co., Inc. of Raymond, NH, recently completed a number of structural steel projects in both Maine and New Hampshire.

Working under contract with Precision Welding of Westbrook, Maine, Jewett Metal Buildings installed large structural steel window frames in the Urban Outfitters retail store in Portland. At Elm Terrace Apartments, also in Portland, JMB ran four floors of shoring pole, from basement to roof, under contract with Wright-Ryan Construction of Portland.  Jewett also installed channel steel and reinforced the roof at Hannaford Mill Creek in South Portland while working under PM Construction of Saco.

In conjunction with parent company Jewett Construction, JMB installed new external siding at Grappone Toyota of Bow, NH, as well as providing demolition services and the installation of new structural steel at Emerson Toyota, in Auburn, ME . All businesses remained open during construction and most involved evening and weekend work to accommodate client schedules.

Irwin Automotive Group’s Hyundai dealership renovations completed by Jewett Automotive Design & Construction

Jewett Automotive Design & Construction has completed upgrades and renovations to the Irwin Automotive Group’s Hyundai dealership at 446 Union Ave., Laconia, NH.

The project involved renovating an existing 16,000 SF single-story masonry and steel-framed building into a new, state-of-the-art auto showroom, offices and service department.  Interior upgrades included new structural steel and interior masonry walls; ceiling systems; tile, carpet and all finishes; design/build fire sprinkler systems; and plumbing and electrical systems. Exterior renovations involved installation of the new Hyundai gateway and new glass and aluminum storefront.

HYUNDAI OF KEENE DEALERSHIP RENOVATION BY JEWETT AUTOMOTIVE DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION

Jewett Automotive Design & Construction has contracted with the Fenton Family Dealerships to renovate its Hyundai of Keene facility at 14 Production Way, Keene, NH.

This is just the latest project Jewett Automotive has undertaken for the Fenton Family Dealerships, having renovated and/or built additions for both their Subaru of Keene and Toyota of Keene facilities in recent years. The current project entails an exterior face lift to the existing building, including the addition of  EIFS and metal panels.

NH MOTOR SPEEDWAY SERVICE FACILITY TO BE BUILT BY JEWETT CONSTRUCTION

Jewett Construction Co., Inc. has contracted with NH Motor Speedway to build a service utility building at 1122 Route 106 North in Loudon, NH.

The project includes the construction and interior fit-up of a new, 9,600 sf multi-use pre-engineered metal building to house ambulances for track use, a vehicle wash bay for track vehicles, seasonal quarters for the owner and Speedway staff, and a Legends parts showroom and retail store.  Jewett’s Project Manager for the job is Steve Harris; Project Superintendent is Steve Sousa. All metals work will be performed by Jewett Metal Buildings & Steel Erectors, a division of JCCI.

JEWETT METAL BUILDINGS PROJECTS INCLUDE FIT-UPS IN MAINE AND NEW HAMPSHIRE

Jewett Metal Buildings & Steel Erectors, a division of Raymond, NH-based Jewett Construction Co., Inc., recently completed a number of projects in both Maine and New Hampshire.  All businesses remained open during construction and several involved evening and weekend work to accommodate client schedules.

Jobs included adding interior metal wall panels for a tenant fit-up at JTA in Seabrook, NH; replacing the roof, insulation, siding and trims at Princeton Properties in Portland, ME; and, under contract with PM Construction of Saco, ME, adding structural steel and reinforcing the roof at the Hannaford Supermarket in Machias.  JMB also installed a new front entry element and structural steel for a fit-up of a new Eastern Mountain Sports in Portland, ME as well as installing new structural steel decking and handrails at Thornton Academy in Saco—both jobs under contract with Precision Welding of Westbrook, ME.

Jewett Metal Buildings staff also recently donated labor and materials to the Nasson Community Center in Springville, Maine—erecting steel framing and netting for its indoor batting cages.

SIG SAUER ACADEMY PRO SHOP TO BE BUILT BY JEWETT CONSTRUCTION

Jewett Construction Company, Inc. has contracted with SIG SAUER of Exeter, NH to construct a 4500 sf Pro Shop at their Academy in Epping. The new building will house the administrative staff for the company’s training facility as well as a large Pro Shop for display and sale of SIG SAUER firearms and accessories.

The project consists of the construction of a single story metal building designed for energy efficiency using insulated metal panel siding, a high reflective value metal roof, exterior insulation finish system (EIFS), insulated low-e windows, and energy efficient mechanical equipment. All metals work is being performed by Jewett Metal Buildings & Steel Erectors, a division of JCCI. The project will be completed in a short time frame in order to allow SIG SAUER Academy Pro Shop to maximize selling opportunities during their busy season.

This marks just the latest of many projects in a working relationship between SIG SAUER and Jewett Construction that dates to 2003. Other projects completed for the company include a new Quality Control Room and exterior renovation to SIG SAUER Academy, office and warehouse renovations, mezzanine rooms and walkway renovation, warehouse addition, and firing range expansion.

JEWETT CONSTRUCTION TO BUILD PANERA BREAD IN DERRY, NH

Jewett Construction Company, Inc. has contracted with Panera Bread, LLC to build a new, ground-up bakery/restaurant at 17 Manchester Rd., Derry, NH, as part of the new 49,000 sf Pinkerton Place retail/business complex. The job entails construction of a 4500 sf steel-framed, load-bearing building including all roofing, electrical and HVAC work, plumbing, exterior flatwork for patio seating, and all exterior finishes (CMU block with EIFS accent finishes).  Steve Harris is Jewett’s Project Manager for the four-month project, and Job Superintendent is Jeff Gower.
